Thank you for this wonderful text about Gerson - her story is one of the most moving (among sadly so many!) fates of Berlin Jews and Jewish artists murdered or led into death by the Nazi regime. There is only one small thing that you might one to correct: this stumbling stone (Stolperstein) is not for Dora Gerson, the actress, but for Dr Dora Gerson, a physician and head doctor at a clinic in Aschersleben (Saxony-Anhalt). Dr Gerson committed suicide in 1941 - this Dora Gerson died in 1943.
Several years ago I participated in a channeling group where the"scribe" frequently told us about our past lives. My son, daughter and grandson were present with me at the session at the Union Theological School in New York. We were told that my grandson was Dora's husband Max Sluicer, my daughter was the young girl who Dora did not medicate and therefore cried when they were trying to escape to Switzerland and they were caught because of her crying (Miriam Sluicer) and my son was the infant, Abel Sluicer. His name this lifetime is Abram and one of my daughter's two middle names is Maria. The current incarnation of Dora was there as well and she is a midwife this lifetime. She had the insight that as she was not able to protect her children in the Dora lifetime that she thus chose to not have children this lifetime. My grandson having been Dora's husband Max, a business man, is now 17 years old and is inspired by his plan to become a successful business man. My son aspired to having a home and family,a simple vision but he had not been able to experience such security in his Abel lifetime. My daughter is an award winning photographer, an excellent artist, and now executive director of the International Brazilian Opera Company so like her mother Dora last time, an artist and involved with music. Believe t or not, this information was given to us.
Thank you @berlinCompanion for letting me know about this mistake. I have now removed the stumbling stone. Warmly, Jakob

Being caught for her wish to honour her daughter’s crying is such a cruel extra piece of what is already so maximally tragic.
Thanks for sharing.
